BersenbruekGermanyDear Mr. Petersen,I thought I’d drop you a line, to let you know that I’m back in Germany. About two weeks ago, I met our German mess-sergeant Hans Schaefer, you know him pretty good; he told me to send you greetings when I’m goin’ to write to you. I hope you will remember me. I used to be the interpreter and gangleader in 1945, while we were weeding and picking onions for you, till we went to Cokato picking and canning corn for the Northland Canning Company. In spring 1946 we left U.S.A. and were sent to England where I had to stay one more year. But now I’m back in my county and not in my home-lands.
