CLASSES ENTHUSE ENROLLESS
This week classes in typewriting, shorthand and commercial law
went into full swing,with the
results very satisfactory. Each
class had a very good turn out
which proved to the delight ■ of
tae instructors. In the typeyrrit'-
ing class especially the eiass
was more than overflowing making
it necessary to hold class periods every night of the week ex-
,cept SuAsday, with three hour periods on ivlonday,Wednesday and
Friday,and one hour period on
Thursday,Saturday.and Sunday. It
shows that there are at least a
few in this camp who intend to
learn something before they are
discharged from this company. It
is also a very good way to sjafNiri
time and put'; you
ahead of the other
fellow.In the very near future
we hope to start a radio and mechanical drawing class but as
yet our equipment hasn't arrived
so you fellows will just have to
be patient and wait.

Fire I Fire I was the cry. Someone rushed to the fire bell and
out over the camp it clanged its'
ominous warning.Out. of the barracks rushed 225 stalwart C.C.Ctets
with extinguishers,water buckets,
sand buckets,axis and what have
you,ready and hurrying to the
scene of the fire which was in
the army garage. Some more or less
exiited fellows ran in ' circles
"hollering,,and"yelllng"to the top
of their lungs.Some stood with
mouths agape,others befuddled and
bewildered,but the majority with
their senses collected,dashed to
the scene of the fire and in less
than no time the-: fire was extinguished. The damage was slight as
the fire was under control in no
time at all.One canvas top which
was on the army convoy, was burned,
paint was scorched,the:" interior
of the garage was burned in spots
and windows were broken in order
to make a draft which would allow
the smoke to pass out of the room.
All in all the fellows worked
qilckly and unceremoniously with
the result that very little damage was done.

sidewalks looking for a job. Remember him as our star hurler in
baseball this summer at Wanless.
