IS AGAIN ACTIVE
After a lapse of several weeks, during which a
case of emergency at other
camps necessitated our Doc
ceing away from camp, the
first aid class begun last
October was resumed des son

heat and cold", was discussed by the group. A fter
the lesson coui ie is completed, a comprehensive ex
amination, oral written, &
demonstrative will be given „ Although the course is
compulsory for leaders and
assistant leaders, anyone
is welcome to attend,,
KAMPPAINEN, MUNSON
TO STATION HOSPITAL
Within- the past week
four men have left camp.J.
Myers and M. Bakke received their discharges and re
turned to their homes.
Two other enrollees ,
Karl Kaimppainen and Lu-
vorne Munson were transferred to station hospital
at Fort Snelling. Munson
has been troubled for some
time with stomach disorder
of some sort, while it' is
believed that Kaimppainen,
hospital-ridden since earlier this month has a mild
touch of rheumatism. The
entire company is in sympathy with these men , and
we hope that their ailment
will not incapacitate them
for any great lenght of t.
PLANT TO BE READY
BY MARCH 2o
The much sought after
and very much needed 110-
volt light plant system is
at last being installed. A
step that must be taken be
fore the LeRoy engines can
actually be put down is the
pouring of the concrete fl
oor, Forms should be ready
so that this can be done at
some time next week.
If everything goes as
is planned, Co, 711 should
be enjoying the brilliant-
rays of 110-volt lighting
equipment by the middle
of March or thereabouts.

SURVEY CREWS
CHANGE ABOUT
This Saturday, after
two .weeks in the field,the
lakes survey crew that has
been working on Loon Lake
will return to camp.
For the next two-week
period another 5-man crew
will take up the work in: a
trial-arrangement that will
give each crew two consecutive weeks in the field,
and the next two in carp.
In this way it is hoped to
eliminate the "brush-bat tying" tendencies of too long
a stay away from camp.
The crew coming in
Saturday is composed of
Mr. Waru-j oo jreedp j£. Pen—
sak, L. Schauff, H. Finch,
and A. Schoenack.
LIEUT BAKER HAS
EULL SCHEDULE
In addition to Dramatics and Public Speaking,
which he has been teaching
for the past three weeks-,
Lt. Baker has willinglycon
sented to organize three
new classes, Quartette,Bugling, and Writing for Radio. Bugling and quartette
work were carried on last
year, but this is the first
time that Radio Writing is
being offered as a part of
the 711 Curriculum. Lieut.
Baker is especially well-
qualified to teach such a
course, having worked directly in Radio as author,.
producer, and Director.
