HDQRS. CO. HOLDS DINNER DANCE
AT CASTLE ".ROYAL
In the low ceilinged tunnel-like rooms
of the swanky Castle Royal night club,
the- members of this company celebrated a
dinner dance Monday evening in honor of
Major Erickson, Executive Officer of the
CCC in the Minnesota District. Approximately one hundred and sixty members and
their lady friends attended.
An atmosphere of gayety pervaded.
There was much entertainment and few speeches. Major Erickson spoke, commending
the company on the .success of this party.
Lieutenant Jensen, our former Company
Co'mmander, spoke briefly asdid Lieutenant
Hagen. Our Company Commander, Lieutenant
Cameron acted as toastmaster.
Throughout the dinner, entertainment
was-presented. A trio introduced by
Robert Hurd, sang and played several aum-
bers. Olaf Gilbertsbn sang a few songs
and the Mexican Anpliphiers, a stringed
trio furnished some enjoyable music.
The dinner in seven courses was very
delicious and well served. Also, later
during the evening, a floor show was presented especially for this party.
Dance music was furnished-by the Coro-
nado Orchestra,the club orchestra,.and
many v/ere. there who ' danced the whole evening. Many-favorable comments v/ere made,
and In all,, everyone had a. very good time,
SGT. BENNETT TO RETURN '
Word was received last Wednesday Sgt.-.
Betonett is to re-join Headquarters Company
as Supply Sgt. on the fifteenth of this '
month. , Sgt. Bennett will be, remembered,
by _-very man in this Company as he served
as our most efficient Supply Sgtf from the
time of organization up to about two months ago. It is with a feeling of gladnes
that v/e wish to say, "Welcome'Home, Sarge
At the same time we are sorry to announce
that our Supply Clerk,'Ralph'Jones is to-
leave the Supply Room but it is understood
that he will not leave Headquarters

ST. PATRICKS' DANCE PLANS MADE
V/ith elaborate arrangements being planned long ahead of time, the St. Pat-ricks
Dance at the St. Paul Y. W. C. A. on Monday evening, March 18th should, be an outstanding event.. Everything possible is
being planned to make this night full of
interest and amus eme-n t.
This dance which will have the green
shamrock atmosphere of the Irish patron
saint, St. Patrick, is given jointly by
Headquarters Company and the girls clubs
of the Y. W- C. A. Only members of these
two organizations will be permitted to
attend. The admission will be only fifteen cents.
The coimiittfces from both groups are
earnestly devising ways of m.akiiig this
the best dance held so far this' year. On
the general arrangements committee from
Headquarters Conpajiy are Winfred DeGarmo
and George Huggins; on the entertainment
committee are Billy Cather and William
Tufts; on the refreshment committee are
Marcellus M. Lang and Earl Norris;.and
Larry Koppes.and William Martin are on
the decorations committee.
' In all, this dance will be worthy of
the support of every member of the company and a real good time is guaranteed.
HDffflS. ORCHESTRA TO SANDSTONE
Our Company orchestra will make a trip
to Sandstone Minnesota on Friday, March
15th to play for a dance 'for the CCC Company located near there. It is understood that they are trying "to arrange a
'dance with some other CCC Company in that
vicinity for Saturday night, March 16th.
: The boys are playing for the last half
of the Officers' Formal Dance to be held
.at the Officers' Country Club next Satur-
March 9th.
The order has been placed for new uniforms, for the boys and it is hoped that
•they will have them in time for mour Co.
Dance to be held at the Y. W. 0. A. on
March 18th.
