BADGER FIGHT SCHEDULED FOR AUG. 2

George Lehto and Albert
Ostlund were enrolled as
Local Experienced Men July
26, 1935. These men were
selected by Patrolman J.C.
Ryan of the Minnesota Forestry Service.
This camp will:be^host
to the Company Commanders
of Companies 703, 701, 721
2710, 1760, 1721 and 3703
on July 30, 1935. Attending this meeting will be
the Medical Officers of
Companies 703, 3705, 2710
and 1721, and all Educational Advisers stationed
in the East Superior Sub-
District, CCC.
The attention of all
members of this command is
invited to the discharge
regulations. Advise your
allottee that an affidavit
setting forth the reason
whu the discharge is requested and including a
statement that the prospective employment is not
a civil works position endorsed with the approval
of the County Selecting
Agency is necessary to secure an honorable discharge. Prevent delayed
action on your request for
discharge by having your
request in proper fornf before presenting it to this
Headquarters.

FIGHT CAUSES MUCH INTEREST,
ABOUra* AND SPECULATION
Betting Odds 2 to 1 In
Favor Of Badger
A duel of brute strength
and endurance will be held
in the recreation hall on
Friday, August 2. The battle to be between'Carl's
dog 'Unsca' and a ferocious and full-grown badger.
Many arguments over the
relative merits of 'Unsca'
and tho fighting ability
of the badger are in progress throughout the entire camp. The boys are
actually backing their favorite with cash on the
line. Armstrong insists
that 'Unsca' will be but a
tasty morsel for the badger. This may be, but
wait.
For the men who are not
familiar with the participants, here are some of
their respective qualifications: The badger will
weigh about thirty pounds
and has a reputation for
being a tough and dangerous fighter. He prefers to
fight in a hole so that an
attack will be met with
sharp teeth and claws an
inch and a half long. Of
course, the fight will be
staged on a board floor in
the recreation hall so the
badger will not have the
opportunity to defend its
