CAMP DANCE TO BE
HELD AUG
urn-
Mutable Mess Manners
1, Sit at the nearest seat.
Don't file into the seats,
you may please the" Mess
Steward.
2. Grab everything you can
lay your hands on. Other
fellows at the table are
no hungrier than you.
3". 'Eat with your knife -
Shove it down your throat:
it goes down easier than a
fork - anyway.a fork- leaks.,
4. Stuff your mouth full
of food and keep it open
when you eat - the other
fellow may like to see
what you are en ting.
5. Swallow everything as
it is. Don't think of your
digestion. After all, you
are in the CCCs - you're
tough. -
6. Sprawl all over the table. Make yourself comfy.
7. Never pass anything to
the next fellow. He's just
as able as you.
8. Above all, never say
'please' or 'thank you',
The shock may cause the
other fellow's digestive
organs to cease functioning.
9. Hold a 'pow-wow' conversation during meals. A
visitor may drop in to see
that you're all ',0ae Happy
Family.'
10. Throw food all over
the table and on the floor
around it. The Kaypees are
getting $50 a month too.
11. Go whistling out of
the Mess Hall. Be happy.
Edward M. Weiberg
Ed. came to this camp on
April 18, 1935, after having served eighteen months
at a. different camp. As a
baker, he was the greatest

the enrollees of this camp-
he will long be remembered.
Our baker, we would still

business was destroyed by
fire at Red Lake Falls. Ed
was a great lover of Philosophy, and was well read
on the subject. He was,
incidently, of great help
to the Sullivanite-, in as
much as he handed in considerable material, which

-POPULAR DULUTHIAN ORCHESTRA
TO FURNISH MUSIC
The much planned social
event of the .month will
take place next Saturday,
August 24th. Captain Davis has once more taken it
upon himself to arrange
everything possible to offer us an enjoyable evening. He has engaged 'an
orchestra that is reputed
as being very 'hot.' He is
again extending a cordial
invitation -to the parents
and friends of the members
of this company.. He has
also made arrangements to
transport all members of
the opposite sex who are
planning to attend. Busses
will again be the medium
of transportation from Duluth and Two Harbors, and
trucks will carry all the
girls from the local vicinity desiring to attend.
Reliable informants tell
us that the 'fair sex'
will be well represented
from both the city and rural districts. We all hope
that this rumor is true.
Lastly, but far from
the least, is the buffet
lunch that is being prepared. This lunch is almost a perfect replica of
the buffet lunches served
at the Waldorf - Astoria.
Captain Davis has secured
many helpful hints in regard to the preparation of
