.Broken Chairs
Three of the 'comfy' ' chairs inr the
reading room have
been handled quite
roughly, and as a
result, were broken
in various places.
While' these chairs
are under ' repair,
make it a point to
be more careful, and
keep those remaining
in good condition.
Firo Prevention
Investigation concerning fires, E?-n
the Minnesota Area camps has revealed
that .most of the camp fires have occurred thru carelessness on"the part
of the camp personnel. All members of
this camp arc charged with- observance
of the published Fire Orders and. Firo
Prevention Orders.
The following fire  prevention
measures are stressed:
1. Keep clothing and other inflamable
material away from stoves.
2. Check stoves often and watch carefully for -overhfiriting,
3. Check stove pipes, roof jacks and
spark arresters.
4. Fire buckets will be used for no
othor purpose, and will bo kept
full of sand.or water at all times.
Waara Rushed-To St..
Mary's Hospital
; Enrollee Reino Waara suffered an
acute attack of appendicitis Saturday
morning last. He was'rushed to the St.
Mary's Hospital at Duluth, where he
was operated upon al one o'clock Saturday afternoon.
Wo- are happy to say that Reino's
condition, at the present time, is
very good.
Comparing Statistics
From the files of the hospital,
we find. . that- from the 1st to the 20th
of this month, a total of 70 man days
were lost due to sickness, compared to
the incredible total of 433'man days
lost during the corresponding period
last year.
This vast decrease la sickness is
undoubtedly, due to the much Improved
conditions in camp.
