Dear Jack:
I am enclosing a map of the Montana area of 29th Level based on the recent
down-drilling from 27th Level. The pattern of ore, Jasper, and greenstone as
encountered in the five drill holes suggests that the shape of the Montana orebody
on this level will be similar to its shape on upper levels.
Ifferring to the enclosed map, the following points are of interest:
1. The eastern arm of the orebody as shown on this map contains some
jasper (see DE Ho. 93*)- Bodies of jasper have been encountered
on upper levels in the same part of the Montana stops.
2. The block of siliceous ore (see TM No. 92*0 occurs in approximately
the same position as the mass of pyritic and/or siliceous ore which
was encountered on the 25th Level Montana stops. This same area is
jasper on 27th Level.
3. The western limit of the ore is not defined, bat the ore thickness in
BH Ho. 932 suggests that a minable width may be followed at least to
3000W coordinate.
U. The greenstone along the north side of the orebody (labelled M OS-fragmented H) is the same type of rock which is found on the north side
of the ore on 27th, 25th, and 22nd levels in the western part of the
Montana structure. On these levels it forms the north wall rock of
the West Extension ore, but on 29th level it appears to flank the entire
Montana orebody.
5. The southernmost ore section in 91 Ho. 93^ was cut by the drill hole
approximately SO* above 29th level. It appears to be an isolated
occurrence of ore in a bed of jasper which is separated from the main
orebody by greenstone. As this ore passes upwards into jasper on 27th
level, and shows no horizontal continuity, it should be classed only
as a possible ore area on the 29th level.
Additional work on the projected geology of 29th Level will be done as
time permits.
