1969 annual meetings of Northfield Arts Guild, Northfield, Minnesota

              The Northfield Arts Guild board met in the Guild Center on January  , 1969
at 8:00 pm.  Those present were: Medin, ^hepard, Henrickson, Hunter, Ojala,
Drentlaw, Geistfeld, Lee, Sathrum, and Bond.
The minutes were read and approved.
The Treas. report as of 12/31/68 was $1,665.39
Reports from the Divisions were as follows:
Music:  Voice class is filled and excellent.
Coffee House is Jan. 25-John Brown's Body
A Guitar class at the Con. Church will start Sun. the 26th.

The Spring Musicale is scheduled for April 29.
A Recorder class in the middle of March is a possibility
The Song of Norway  — a musical is also a possibility
Drama:  Full Length drama still need a. director.  Pat Quade was listed as
a possibility.
Jan. 19th at 3:00 the one act contest plays of Northfield and
Lakevilie will be presented.
CoffeeHouse for April will be a Club 411
Tom Marcy is to be instructor for a Jr. High Creative Dramatics class
Julie Landsman will be asked to do the Spring Pillow Party and/or
class in late Spring.
Art:   Clay Modeling <b_.ass Is in session
Jan 26 there will be a Batik Demonstration and possible class
after given by Mrs. K. Bjork
Shapes and Art Forms is new class by Tim Lloyd, to be held tues
evenings.
Printmaking is the new class for children to be given by
Meredith Hawkins.
Dance;  Feb. Coffee House
Lit:   Negro Lit class will begin Jan. 15th.  8 sessions by R. Tisdale.
Coffee House in March of films and readings.
New Business:
On Jan 18th there will be a dance sponsored by Ramettes
Safety in the building was discussed and consequently:
Dave Drentlaw will check fire extinguishers
will put up EXIT SIGNS
will nail over the side stage hole
Mrs. Sathrum will purchase Hurricane Lamps for the Coffee Houses
The house lights dimmer was demonstrated by Dixon Bond
A downtown KIOSK bulletin board for the square was discussed.
Dave Medin will ask someone to design it.
The membership booklet is j_>G_ not don®, so we will drop it for this
year. An information booklet by Dixon will
be compiled for the Welcome Wagon Lady.
The nonating committee is : Marie Sathrum, Dixon Bond and Betty
Hunter. Nominations by March with Election in AprSl.
