MARKET DAY
FOR PIERZ
Commercial Club Holds Meeting
and Decides Unanimously in
Favor of Project
Wil! Be Great Benefit to Village and
Surrounding Country.
At a meeting* of the Commercial Club held Tuesday evening-
it was decided to hold a market day in Pierz on the tirst Saturday of each month beginning with .March. The plans for the carrying- out of this project have not been worked out in detail, but
some of the features will be: A general barg-ain day for all the
merchants, an auction sale where the farmers can dispose of
anything they wish to sell, the auctioneer to be employed by the
village. Some sort of entertainment will probably be provided
for the occasion. A committee was appointed to formulate plans
for the undertaking- and wiil report at a meeting of the Commercial Club to be held Wednesday, February 16.
Fortunately both sections of the town are in harmony in
this movement and judging* from the enthusiastic manner in
which all the merchants are working for it, there is little doubt
but what their efforts will bear fruit and a permanent market
day be established.
