be Town Clerk and

Since the question as to whether a person could hold the
offices of town Clerk and assessor at the same time, the o-
pinion of the Attorney General
was written for. He says:
You are advised that the officers of town clerk and town
ship assessor are not incompatible and may be held by the

SNOW BALLS IN
VOGUE \H ?mOM
The following is from
the Pomona California Times,
sent by Mrs. Susan Bolster.
Pomona Times: Harry Clark,
son of the proprietor of Clark's
garage, took bis 40-horse-power
Oakland yesterday afternoon
and gave a bunch of boys a ride
to the foot of Hog Back, where
the snow was twelve or fifteen
inches deep. The young fellows had an experience which
few of them had known before.
After they had fully enjoyed the
novel condition for a while they
loaded the machine full of snow
and brought it to the city and
in the evening they completed
the fun of the day by snowbal-
ing the people who had occasion
to pass down Second street.
Snow is such a rarity here that
when it does come, the young
people go wild over it.
