the Village of Pierz, county of Morrison and state of Minnesota, showing the financial affairs of the said Village for

The following citizens and freeholders of the Village of Pierz,
Morrison county, Minn., were appointed a board of audit by the
council to examine the books of the Treasurer and Recor ler of
said village: B. Gross, Carl Kapsner and Wm. Eller. The said
board met February 24th, 1914, and reported as follows:
We, the undersigned board of audit hereby certify, that we
have examined the books of the Treasurer and Recorder of the
Village of Pierz, and have found them correct as stated in the
foregoing annual financial statement.

RUCKER NEWS.
Mrs. Taylor and son, Donald,
visited at the George Waller
home Sunday last.
A meeting was held at the
school house Tuesday evening
to discuss plans tor putting
through a rural telephone. A
goodly crowd expressed their;
approbation of the sain*', and
further steps will be taken as;
soon as possible. The next
meeting was set for March 10th,
I but on account of that being
flection day, the meeting will
ibe held March Oth, at 7:30 p. m.
Catherine Sullivan came out
on the stage Saturday morning,
to teach the spring term of
school.
Mrs. Drews and daughter
Marie, visited at tbe Waiter and
Bruber homes Tuesday. They
were accompanied home by
Elizabeth Waller, who went
from there to Pierz Wednesday
for her music lesson.
John Grier, Jr., returned home
Monday evening from Northern
Minnesota where li,e had been
lor several months past.
Irwin Drews is edging lumber
lor Mr. Waller, with his gasoline engine.
Mrs. Tracy Waller returned
last Saturday from a week's
visit in Nevis.
Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Saltow
were business callers at Hillman
Monday.
New Pierz News. •
(Too Late for Last Week.)
John Terhaar, N. P. Fiehtinger and Otto J. Brick left Saturday, visiting friends in Stearns
county. Mr. Brick joined the
Knights of Columbus at their
initiation in St. Cloud on the
22nd inst. They returned Tuesday.
A solo card party was held
at the residence of Mr. and Mrs.
Tony Jamma last Sunday. A
number of neighboring friends
participated in the game and all
report having spent a very delightful evening.
Cattle buyers Levy & Berg
shipped a car load of mixed
stock to the South St. 1
market last Tuesday. They
will ship again next week.
Annie Hesch and Marie Marshik were pleasant callers at
home of Mr. and Mr*. Frank
Bolster Tuesday evening.
