With royal ceremony, Kay Olson was crowned Homecoming
queen at this morning's coronation assembly. The entire Rajester organization' planned this program which started the series of events
for homcoming.
Tom Moran, .master of ceremonies, gave a welcoming speech.
Then trumpets announced the arrival of collegiate royalty. As Coach
Rockenbach introduced, each football player, the members of the
team took their places on the stage. Then the cheerleaders came
forward on the stage as Miss Evans presented them.
Next, the regal procession began. Queen Kay Olson
wore a, white organdy, off-the-shoulder formal. She was followed by her attendants Gloria Frutiger, and Joan Eichinger. After the Homecoming royalty came Bobby Peter-
,son who carried the handsome jewelled crown and sceptre.
Mr. Charles Singley crowned the queen with the traditional
speech, "With this crown, I proclaim thee, Kay Olson, Queen
of R. J. C's homecoming 1950. Edith Larson-Thurber of
Minneapolis, homecoming queen of 1949, was asked to be
present also, but was unable to attend.

12:15 in the Rochester Chamber of Commerce club rooms.
Three hundred and twenty-five invitations were mailed to former
students and graduates of J. C. Classmates from the class of 1915
to the class of 1950 will be brought together once again at the re
union.
Miss Flora McGhee is in charge of the affair working
with Dr. Howard Roy, C. E. Singley, and Gerald Paul as
the faculty committee. George Baihly, a graduate of the
class of 1934, is the alumni chairman for the luncheon. "Mr.

Lee Bower, manager of the Collection Department at the Mayo
Clinic, was one of the ten graduates from J. C.'s first class of
1917. He entered the school in
i 915, the year of its founding.

here in- Rochester. Jim Hammer,

Echo, gave Mr. Havens a general

homecoming were underway and
that everyone was to join in the

Dean Goddard introduced the
speaker of the day, Mr. Wayne
Field, Manager of the Treasure
Chest Linen Company of Minneapolis. Mr. Field was a J. C.
student from 1946-1948, and was
responsible for the present name
jf the college annual, Rajuco.
After Mr. Field's interesting
talk, the master of ceremonies
gave a brief outline of the remaining homecoming activities.
Then the cheerleaders led the
crudents in a few yells and the
school song was sung in closing
the assembly.
Saturday morning, October 21,
this assembly can be heard over
KROC, at 8:30.
Fifteen minutes of the assembly
program were tape recorded by
KROC's engineer. The coronation, school cheers, and the messages by Tom Moran and Jim
Gove were among the features
included.
