Blue Moon Formal
Entrances Guests
Last Friday evening, May 23,
some seventy couples, including
faculty and students, danced to
the music of Pal Thede's orchestra at the Valencia Ballroom to
climax the year's social activities.
To carry out the theme of "Blue
Moon," the Valencia was beautifully decorated with a number of
blue stars hanging from the ceiling, in the midst of which was a
mass of balloons. On either end
of the stage was a large blue
bird, and in the background was
a blue moon surrounded by several stars. The many different
varieties and colors of the girls'
formals further enhanced the
scene.
The Social Committee had
charge of the dance with Janet
Edwards and Pat .Blethen in
charge of publicity; Marilyn Holtorf, refreshments; Bob O'Neil,
ticket sale; and Janet Dansing-
burg, Janet Edwards, Marilyn Holtorf, Nancy Bumgarner, and Pat
Blethen, decorations. Many of the
students and faculty were heard
to remark that this was, in their
opinion, the most successful dance
of the year.
