IRC Regional Conference
To Be Held Here Today
Today, April 29, the International Relations Club Region Conference is being held at Rochester Junior College. Attending the
conference are representatives from Austin Junior College, the University of Minnesota, Waldorf College of Forest City, Iowa, St. Mary's
College of Winona and Rochester Junior College.
Registration will begin at 12:20, and the first discussion group
will begin at 1:00 and last until 2:30. This will be followed by coffee.
The second discussion period will be held from 3:00 to 4:30, following which there will be time for a tour of the new Mayo Clinic building and a social hour. The dinner will be held at Holland's Cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:30. The speaker will be Geza Schultz.
There will be four groups discussing the main topics of the United
Nations, Universal Military Training and the Use of Atomic Weapons,
Formosa, and Communist China. Discussion group leaders will be
Neil Anderson, Dave Waldemar, Frank Evangelist, and Lillian Von
Osten. During the first period1 these topics will be discussed fully,
and during the second hour concrete resolutions will be drawn up.
Each group will write up two 'resolutions. The final resolutions will
be signed by the members of the group. These will then be sent to
trie press, radio, Minnesota's congressional delegation, and our United
Nations delegation.

popular music and comedy but
also classical music and talent of
a serious nature.
An octet from Worthington
Junior College commenced the
program with "The Bells of St.
Mary's," "Halls of Ivy," and "This
Ole House." One of the girls
then came back to do some piano
numbers including "12th Street
Rag" and Grieg's "First Concerto," plus a medley of popular
songs.
Next, a group of ten students
from Austin, called the JC Jesters, presented a comical skit
about a bear who went to college and whom all the students
and faculty members thought was
"A silly student who wore a fur
coat and needed a shave." Following the skit the Austin chorus
sang three numbers, and their
swingtette did the cOmedy number "You'll Never Get Away,"
and "Down Through the Years."

Delta Psi Omega
Initiates Members
Members of Delta Psi Omega
and Rajester held their banquet
and initiation at the Markay, on
Wednesday night, April 20.
Following the dinner, the president of Delta Psi Omega, Tom
Erickson emceed the banquet and
introduced the different acts put
on by the initiates.

Jerry Pribyl and Perry Campbell
how to play craps. Dick Jensen
depicted Lady Macbeth in her
sleepwalking scene, and Roger

WINTER QUARTER
Forty-six students of Rochester
Junior College have been named
to the Honor Roll for the winter
quarter. These students have
met the requirements which state
that the student must carry 12
or more quarter credit hours and
maintain a "B" average or better. Of the 46 named to the
Honor Roll, 20 are freshmen, 24
are sophomores, and two ore
post-graduate students.
Two students have maintained
an "A" average for the winter
quarter:
