for the RAJUCO and ECHO staffs
for next year. Approximately
twenty-two signed up for the
ECHO and ten for the RAJUCO.
For the RAJUCO, Virginia Lund
was chosen editor for next year;
Johng Lim, art editor; and Margo
Fick and Kay Brown, copy editors.
Others who signed up are Michelle Clark, layout and typing;
Jean DeVogel, typing; Daphne
McDonough, layout and typing;
Mary Kieffer, and Ann Armstrong,
activities. Students who signed
up, but did not attend the meeting are Carol Myhre and Esther
Swearingen.
Next year's editor for the
ECHO is Sharon Hammond. Ann
Armstrong will be news editor;

presented the same two awards
for boys. The Golden "R" went
to Neil Anderson and the Recognition Award went to Gerald Olerud.

Honored at Convo
The annual honors convocation
held Friday, May 20, commenced
with organ music played by Sharon Fountain. George Joyce, next
year's student council president
and master of ceremonies for this
convocation, then welcomed the
students and faculty and introduced the cheerleaders who led
the audience in the school song.
The first to receive an honor
was Frank Kvam. Mr. Singley
presented Frank with a gold R
for the best free throw percentage during the 1954-55 basketball season.
Next, Glenn Amundsen recognized Sandra Harding with a trophy, who then presented awards
to the other cheerleaders, Ann
Armstrong, Kay Brown, Doris Fossum, and Pat Moe. Glenn pre^
sented the basketball players:
Tom Barton, Chuck Hanson, Art
DeWitz, Chuck Thoen, Quentin
Hawkinson, Joe Fogarty, Dave
Wernecke, Ted Maass, and Frank
Kvam.
The gold awards were then
presented to the team members:
Dick Pattinson, Francis Hunter,
Dick Cutshall, and Ted Maass.
Queen Carol Orpen presented
the conference golf trophy to
Dean Hill.
Track members were the next
to be recognized: Art DeWitz, Ed
Stoltenberg, Joe Fogarty, Frank
Kvam, Bob Williams, Jim Jenewein, and Glenn Amundsen.
