Dixieland Band
Formed By Six
College Students
A Dixieland band has been
formed by a group of six Junior
College students. As far as we
have been able to find out,
they have no special name; they
just call themselves a Dixieland
band.
They played at the Junior
College Harvest Dance on Friday, November 8, for part of
the program. They have had
one practice so far, but another
one is planned.
The group is made up of
Harry Nelson, trumpet; Ralph
Doggett, guitar; Jerry Rossler,

Exams Scheduled for
Week of December 2
Each one of you probably noticed the tentative list of final
examinations on the official bulletin board these past two weeks,
and many of you probably said,
''What, already?" Whether you
have realized it or not, final exam
week is only two weeks away.
It begins at 8:00 A.M. Monday,
December 2, and lasts through
that week.
Now is the time to tie up all
of those loose ends and organize your notes so that you will
be ready when Monday, December 2, dawns bright and early.
Be sure to know exactly when
your respective examinations are
scheduled and where. Also, don't
forget to check the time. Promptness is a very important factor
where both the student and instructor are concerned. Don't
wait until the very last minute
to do your studying. If you
joyed the fine entertainment presented by the dramatics club,
under the direction of Mr. Robert
O. Wise. "Minor Miracle" is the
story of four men adrift in a life
raft after their ship, the tanker
"Daniel Moore," has sunk to the
ocean floor. The men are the
only survivors of the tragedy,
and the play centers around
their emotions as they drift for
days on the ocean, in sight of
land, but unable to reach it. A
sensitive performance was given
by John Gannon, Bob Rittinger,
Jim Sandum, and Judd Thompson.
"The Congo" was a narrative
poem and dance presented by
Marilyn Richey, a sophomore at
Junior College. It was done in
the form of a day dream of a
person who sees the primitive of
the African jungle in the lower
part of our modern world.
