The annual Sno-Queen coronation was held this morning, or
,1, at 11:00 in Central Auditorium. A record crowd of

The other Sno-Queen candidates, Phyliss Sorenson, Bea Tenley,
Fleischer, Janette Slavin, Aveline Hanson, and Delores Techau,
) presented with one long-stemmed pale pink rose by Tom Seldon.
The blue and silver throne had been constructed by Marilyn
sy, Vince Meyers, John Gannon and Delores Techau. The potted
CAFEfs decorating the stage were donated by Fiksdal Florists. Tom

Sno-Queen, Nancy Cowan
Hails From Sunny State
This year's Sno-Queen, Nancy
Cowan, a lovely, 19-year old
blond, was born in Cleveland,
Ohio. She moved to Riverside,
California, in 1955, and gradu-
aled from Riverside High School
in June, 1957. While in high
school, Nancy was a cheerleader,
Homecoming queen, Sweetheart
of Polyhigh, Miss Riverside of
1957, an R. O. T. C.'sponsor, as
well as a member of Hi-Tri girls
club and the Cavaliers Club.
Here at J. C. she has been a
cheerleader, president of the Secretarial Club, and one of the ten
finalists in the Miss Rochester Pageant.
Her favorite foods are Tacos, a
Mexican concoction, and steaks.
Nancy's hobbies include swimming, water skiing, and ice skat
ing. She doesn't have any favorites in clothes; she likes all
types.
The Sno-Queen's attendants
are Miss Judy Hren, the Newman
Club candidate, and Miss Nancy
Strifert, publications choice. Judy
is a very attractive 19-year old
brunette, and very active in many
organizations in high school and
also at R. J. C. Nancy, a petite
19-year old brunette, has an extensive list of organizations in
which she was active in high
school and at J. C.
Other candidates for Snow-

I. R. C; Bea Tenley, F. T. A.; Aveline Hanson, Secretarial Club;
Janette Slavin, Choir; Kay Fleischer, Phi Theta Kappa; and Delores
Techau, Rajesters.
