Booster-Cup Winner to Be

Results of the Booster Cup campaign between finalists Dave Bozikowski and Earle Lewis will be
announced at the spring banquet
May 25.
The Booster Cup is given annually to the sophomore student
who is voted by the students to
be the outstanding booster of
Junior College functions. It is the
only award which the students
themselves choose; all other
award winners are chosen by the
faculty.
He is chosen for being a loyal
and active participant in R.J.C.
activities and a good representative of the ideals of R.J.C. Shol-
astic achievement is also considered.

Small Energetic
Staff Prepares
1960 Yearbook
Final deadline for the Rajuco
is March 8, and Editor Karen Haht
and her staff are rushing to meet
it. "The 1959-60 yearbook will be
a complete pictorial history of our
school year," Editor Haht said.
This year the Rajuco staff has
planned an eighty-page annual.
The publications office is a center
of activity; staff members plan
layouts, work out picture schedules, write captions and copy-
blocs, and decide on headlines,
besides identifying the large numbers of photographs pouring into
the office. Typists are busy preparing copy to meet the deadline
as section editors scramble to complete their assignments.
Mr. McKeehan, Rajuco advisor,
has played an active role helping
to prepare this year's annual.
But the bulk of the huge job is
being carried on by students. The
yearbook staff is a small but energetic one; about thirteen students have contributed a great
deal of time and talent. Most
obvious to the reader will be the
hours spent on photography and
darkroom work by Dave Kirkwood. Barb Eichendorf, sophomore editor, and Joanne Tetzlaff,
freshman editor, are two of the
section heads who are helping to
make the 1959-60 Rajuco a success.
Faculty section editor, Eileen
Pankow, is often seen busily
planning parts of the Rajuco with
her staff in the publications office.
This same spirit of hard work and
accomplishment goes all the way
through the Rajuco staff, from
Editor Karen Haht to the typists,
headed by JoAnh Williams. The
design for the cover and division
pages has been the responsibility
of Shirley Hosek, art editor.
Jaysees can look forward to
another top-ranking annual this
year as the Rajuco staff rushes to
make that last deadline.
