lister Roberts Goes Into Last Week of Rehearsal"
"Mister Roberts" to be
Working on scenery for "Mister Roberts" are Mr. Wise, Director, John Husband, Stage
Manager, Brian Golberg, cast member, and Mr. Lavine, Technical Director, (left to right)
Presented February 24-25
FINAL TOUCHES are being added to "Mister Roberts," the hilarious comedy written by Joshua Logan and Thomas Heggen, to be
presented by the Rochester Junior College on February 24 and 25. The
story takes place in the Pacific aboard the Navy cargo shop Reluctant,
where the men carry out various mutinous activities activated by boredom and hatred for the Captain. The time is shortly before the end of
the Second World War.
The cast chosen for "Mister Roberts" is an excellent one and the
show promises to be a superb one. Much work, effort and time has
to be sacrificed for a huge production like this, but in the end the
most satisfying results will be shared by everyone. The play is directed
by Mr. Robert Wise, and the stage manager is John Husband with Judy
Spelhaug and Diane Rieple working as assistant stage managers. The
production assistant is La Vonne Austin.
John Husband is chairman of fhe stage crew and construction
committee, with Wayne Russert assisting him. The light crew is headed
by Willis Sween, and the chairman of the sound crew is Curt Wallman.
