COURSES OF STUDY.
1. An Advanced Oourse, extending through four years.
2. An Elementary Oourse, extending through three years.
3. A Professional Oourse, extending through one year,
4. A Kindergarten Oourse extending through one year.
The Diploma of either course is a State Certificate of qualification of the First Grade, good for two
years. At the expiration of two years, the Diploma may be endorsed, making it a certificate of qualification
of the first grade, good for five ye*ars if an Elementary diploma, or a Permanent Certificate if an Advanced diploma.
The demand for trained teachers greatly exceeds the supply. Graduates readily obtain positions in tlie*"
best schools at good salaries.

Graduates of High Schools anqLColleges are admitted to the Professional Course without examination.
Applicants holding a second-grade county certificate are admitted to the C class without examination;
Applicants who do not hold a second-grade certificate must be fifteen years of age at their nearest birthday
and must pass a creditable examination in Orthography, Reading, Grammar and Language, the genenal
Geography of the world, and Arithmetic equivalent to the demands for a second-grade certificate in these
subjects.^ All the advantages of the school are FREE to those who pledge themselves to teach two years in.
