St. Patrick is one good saint. Last eve about 5 big Bill Rose paid me a pleasant little call - remarked about the weather asked about you & Dad - & left a subpoena for me to appear in court at 10 today with all the "ledgers, books, accounts, books of account, records and other papers of the business conducted by you and the other defendants herein above named or by yourself individually, under the name of the "Chalet" between the 1st day of May 1934 and the 13 day of Sept. 1935. I looked up my poor little ledger & wondered what under the sun they could make of it, but took it in at the appointed time with Dad & Mary and found the case was to be tried in Judge Michel's court - which pleased Dad. In fact he went in to shake hands with the Judge before court opened. Jackson & Temple played Mr. Sargent such a mean trick that he was more than mad. He has just returned from a trip to Mexico & is swamped with work & had been putting
