Minnesota Reflections

About this collection

Through shared information, technology, and understanding, the Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry empowers others and themselves to: sustain and enhance functioning forest ecosystems; provide a sustainable supply of forest resources to meet human needs; protect lives and property from wildfire; and provide a dollar return to the permanent school trust. This is accomplished through three core programs: fire management, state land management, and cooperative forest management. The annual reports contributed by the Division of Forestry to Minnesota Reflections highlight the formation and evolution of the division in its early years and share information on the need for natural resource management.
