Lake Auburn Home for the Aged, a two-story brick building, was in Excelsior. It was located on the county highway between Carver Park and Victoria, and stood into the 2000s.

Real photographic postcard showing First Street in Shakopee. Businesses seen in the image include Gamble Stores, Gellhaye's Caf, the Shakopee Theater, Strunk's Drug Store, and several bars. Lines of cars are parked along both sides of the street. Etched into the emulsion along the bottom edge of the image is "First Street/Shakopee/Minn./07411." Handwritten in black ink along the top edge of the image is "See Here Air.Plane Look.Out" with an arrow pointing to a building on the street. The card is used and is addressed to Commander Leo A. Ketterer at Great Lakes, Illinois. The message reads "Shakopee, Minn./ Where men are men and boys are snots./Sept 6-44/Dear Leo: Reason for short address above. I believe in economy. Ink is ink. This is a collection of postcards with images from Duluth and northern Minnesota, and advertisements representing Duluth and area businesses, from about the 1930s. Some of the postcards are of Enger Park Municipal Golf Course, St. Mary's Hospital, Boulevard Drive, the Duluth Boat Club, Northland Country Club, the Hotel Holland, the Duluth Armory, and the steamship Juniata in the Duluth-Superior harbor. Business advertisements represented include Griffith's Interior Design, Enger & Olson Inc., Duluth Ice and Fuel Co., Hansen Fish Co., Peerless Laundry, Lundmark-Olson Co., Duluth Poultry Co., Gershgol's Economy Markets Inc., and the Shrine Auditorium Garage.
The C. H. Feldman Hardware Store at the far left was located at 512 South Minnesota Avenue in St. Peter. The photographer aimed his camera northward along the avenue from its intersection with Myrtle Street. A portion of the Nicollet County Courthouse is visible at the far right.

The Farmers Co-operative Creamery in Princeton served farmers in the area. It was located on the northeast corner of 2nd Street South and 6th Avenue South.
Peoples Theater stood on Main Street, Crosby, Minnesota. The theater signs advertise "Shufflin' Sam Adams" and Colleen Moore. Above the theater was the office of Dr. A.C. Bosel, Dentist. To the right of the theater is Walt's Barber Shop and to the left is Powder Puff Beauty Salon and Hartman's Cash and Carry.

Pitt Real Estate and First State Bank of Crosby. The back of the postcard has a message to Mrs. Joe Hester of Crosby, Minnesota. It is postmarked Park Rapids, Minnesota, stamped with a 2 cent stamp and a Christmas Seal.

The First National Bank in St. Peter was located at 225 South Minnesota Avenue at the time this postcard was made. Part of the Lindberg Hardware Store at 119 West Nassau Street can be seen behind the bank. A shoe store was located along the north side of the bank.

The wooden three-story Sampson House on a street corner in Excelsior advertises offerings at its caf??, including fried chicken and fish dinners, crappie dinners, fried chicken sandwiches and homemade ice cream for 15 cents.
The Radisson Inn had screened porches on the first floor, and open balconies on the second floor. Originally the Glenn Morris Estate, it was remodeled by the owner of the downtown Radisson Hotel in the 1920s. Located on Highway 7 and Christmas Lake, it burned in the 1930s.
