A gift to the Minitex staff in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the funding of Minitex in 1971. The custom created Minitex crowler was made at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth, Minnesota.
Minitex commissioned a poem by Minneapolis artist Diver Van Avery to commemorate the 50th anniversary during National Poetry Month. The poem was written on a typewriter for the occasion on April 30, 2021.
Program for the Minnesota Governor's Pre-White House Conference on Library and Information Services held September 10-12, 1978 at the Leamington Hotel, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Governor Rudy Perpich's goal is to gather library users and professionals, and work to make state library services more accessible and effective. Sections include services and materials, access and barriers to information, special services, personnel, information networks and library cooperation, evaluation and accountability, governance and finance, and awareness and value of the library. Includes names of planning committee and subcommittee members.
A reproduction of a slide show and audio cassette created in the 1970's to educate library staff and to promote Minitex services. As part of the Minitex 50th Anniversary, the video was edited in 2021 by Carol Nelson with assistance from former Minitex staff Kathy Drozd, Dave Paulson, and Mark Eckes. Topics in the presentation include: Minitex resource sharing among libraries, the Minitex Union List of Serials, the technology used to communicate between libraries for resource sharing, the Minitex Reference and Information Network, Minitex workshops and training sessions, and how Minitex was initially funded.

The theme for the conference was "Libraries, Literacy and Liberty." General session topics include marketing ideas, standards for library automation, The Minnesota Peace Press, microcomputer applications in libraries, serving non-traditional students, and funding and administering literacy programs.
Program for the 82nd annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association held September 21-23, 1977 at the Duluth Hotel, Duluth, Minnesota. The theme was "Sharing; Services and Resources." The preconference was "Sharing: Prospects for Planning and Coordinating Continuing Education Resources in Minnesota." Boat trips on Lake Superior were offered before the dinner. Speaker David Madden read selections from his novel Bijou at the dinner.

General session topics include stress management, "The Supply Side of Government Printing," "Computer Assisted Reference Services," library services to special groups, teleconferencing by satellite, occupational health and safety, and using volunteers in youth services. Special programs were provided by author Carol Bly and musicians John Berquist and Janet Carlson.
Program for the 84th annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association held May 17-19th, 1979 at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. The theme was "New Directions." The MLA Awards Banquet featured speaker Joel Barker, Northern State Power Company on the topic of "New Dawn for Libraries - Some Possibilities for the Next 25 Years."

The conference featured a Minitex/OCLC Users Group. Randall Tigue, President of the Minnesota Civil Liberties Union, spoke at the conference dinner of the topic "Everyone's Right to Read."

Program for the 91st annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) held on April 16-18, 1986 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The theme for the conference was "Business is Our Business." General session topics include business information resources, "Personality Type and Job Satisfaction," library resource preservation, government secrecy, government budget cuts and library budgets, the information needs of business students, and grant writing. A musical parody "Inforama!" was performed by MLA members on the evening of April 17 and the program for the musical performance is inserted in the conference program.
