"This 1962 Hennepin County Library Bookmobile, one of two serving the 500 square mile area of rural and suburban Hennepin County, replaces a 1950 bookmobile. Carring 3000 volumes, it travels 1000 miles a month, serving over 6000 families, supplementing services of 23 county branch libraries."

Washington Elementary School contains a beautiful 900 seat auditorium as well as the Workman murals. It was built in 1908 but became the junior high school in 1959 when a new elementary school was built. Today it once more serves as the elementary school.
Ely's original high school, Old High functioned in that capacity from 1905 until 1924 when the new high school opened. It later became Ely Junior College, the second such college in the State.
The Indian School at Couchiching Indian Reserve near Fort Frances, Ontario. It is the main reserve of the Couchiching First Nation in Ontario. The sky is full of clouds. A fence runs along the front of the building.
