Report of the first annual meeting of the Minnesota Library Association held on December 29, 1891 in the rooms of the State Historical Society in St. Paul with the purpose to organize State Library Association based on recommendations of the American Library Association and similar to associations in other states. Motion was made to create a constitution which was submitted and approved after the meeting [available separately]. Elected officers for the next year are William W. Folwell, President; Helen McCaine, Vice President; and J.F. Williams, Secretary & Treasurer. The Secretary was directed to prepare a circular announcing the organization and be sent to every librarian in the State.

The St. Paul Free Medical Dispensary was incorporated in 1897. Cornelia Day Wilder (1868-1903) was an early supporter, and James J. Hill was Board President. In 1923, Amherst H. Wilder Charities assumed complete financial and management responsibility for the organization. Physicians and residents at the dispensary worked free of charge to provide free medical and dental care to individuals in need.
A narrative account of the daily management and functioning of the organization, a St. Paul orphanage established shortly after the end of the Civil War. The handwritten account records the monthly board meetings, notes the number of children resident each month, lists donations received, and documents the daily issues and concerns of running of the orphanage. Volume V covers 1905 to 1915. Two additional minutes books reside in the collection of the Minnesota Historical Society.

Notice from the Baldwin School Executive Committee (John Mattocks, Alexander Ramsey, and Edward D. Neill), announcing resumption of operations on September 5, 1859 at the school's leased building on Walnut Street. The Principal, Assistant, and courses of instruction are mentioned, as are tuition, transportation to the building, and furnishing descriptions. The announcement includes the blue Baldwin School seal in Latin at the top. The Baldwin School was for female youth, however a limited number of boys were admitted if they had sisters in attendance.
Ticket for the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, starting June 7, 1892. This specific ticket is for entry on Day 5 of the convention, Session 2, and for Balcony Section A, Seat No. 93. It features images of an eagle and Minnehaha Falls, and includes the detached stub.

This article is written by Benjamin B. Foster, and it covers his memories of working as a chauffeur for Charles Thompson. He submitted the article as part of the 50th anniversary celebration for the Charles Thompson Memorial Hall. He was also a guest speaker at the celebrations. The envelope used to mail the article shows that Mr. Foster lived at 1643 Carroll in St. Paul, and he sent them to Mrs. Marvin (Pearl) Kuhlman, Editor of the Thompson Hall Newsletter, at 1258 Roma Avenue in St. Paul.

Baldwin School. English and Classical School for Boys and Girls. This is the first page of a pamphlet for the Baldwin School. The bottom reads "Fall Term commences Monday, September 15, 1884" so it was presumably created in the early 1880s.
