The Indian School at Couchiching Indian Reserve near Fort Frances, Ontario. It is the main reserve of the Couchiching First Nation in Ontario. The sky is full of clouds. A fence runs along the front of the building.

Opened in 1915, Shoemaker Hall has since served as a dormitory. It was named for Waite Shoemaker, an 1881 graduate of St. Cloud State, who served as a faculty member and then St. Cloud State president from 1902 to 1916. A south addition was completed in 1960.
Fannie McGaughey was a member of the first graduating class of St. Cloud State. In addition, she was here on the first day of classes in September 1869
Constructed on the north side of Selke Field in 1947, these units housed military veterans and, later, married students. The buildings were razed in 1968.
Lawrence Hall, named after long-time faculty member Isabel Lawrence, opened in 1905 as a dormitory for women. It replaced the first Lawrence Hall after a fire destroyed it in early 1905.
A collection of photos collected and organized by Carleton College student, Paul Barney, Class of 1895. Barney later received his D. D. S. from the University of Minnesota and later was a dentist in the Mankato, Minnesota area.

Two people stand in front of the Maple Plain branch of the Hennepin County Library, with one of the delivery boxes used to transport materials to the branches. Library service to Maple Plain and the surrounding communities began in 1922, when the library was housed out of a former U.S. Post Office. For the next five decades, the library operated out of various locations in the community, with the first permanent location opening in 1973 in a commercial building at 5184 Main Street East.

Exterior view of the Hopkins Public Library, a branch of the Hennepin County Library. Library service to the Hopkins, Minnesota community was established more than 100 years ago. The library was initially housed in City Hall, moved to the historic Dow House in 1948 and then temporarily to a vacant restaurant in 1963. The library opened in this building, at its current location at 22 Eleventh Avenue North, in 1968. The library joined Hennepin County Library in 1973 and its building was renovated in 2002.
