Individuals who served are included with a portrait and briefly summarizes the personal history and service to the country during WWI. In general, each entry includes an image, where and when born, parents, branch, unit, and where trained. The entry also includes where and when they served and, sadly, if the person was wounded or where, when, and how they died. The volume also describes activities in Becker County to support the war effort, such as the Red Cross and Liberty Loan activities, as well as the county draft board, the Home Guard, fuel and food adminstrations, and the American Legion. The volume also includes an illustrated review and a timeline of events of World War I.
