Mitchell Hall was completed in 1958 as a dormitory for women. The building was named for William B. Mitchell, who served as St. Cloud State's resident director from 1877 to 1901.
Constructed on the north side of Selke Field in 1947, these units housed military veterans and, later, married students. The buildings were razed in 1968.
This postcard shows a view of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter in 1886. The building with the clock tower is Old Main, which is located at the west end of College Avenue.
