The American Exchange National Bank staff assembled with the bank's founder Hamilton M. Peyton who is in the front row with the white side burns. Peyton was bank president from 1879-1921. The bank merged with First National Bank and renamed First and American National Bank in 1929. It became First American National Bank in 1958, First National in 1974 and Norwest in 1983. In 1998 Norwest merged with Wells Fargo and elected to take the more familiar name Wells Fargo.

Exterior view of American Exchange Bank, 401 Chestnut Street. Incorporated in March 1904, it was reorganized as American Exchange National Bank in November 1919.
This photograph shows the American Express Company office in St. Peter, which was located on the east side of the 100 block of South Minnesota Avenue. Several people are shown, including the operators of the business, R. W. Lamberton and A. H. Benham.
The original St. James Lutheran Church (1944-1963) became the American Legion Club after the church relocated to Burnsville, Minnesota in 1963. It was located on what is now 124th Street, Savage Minnesota.
This photograph shows two St. Peter businesses, the American Railway Express Company and the St. Peter Produce Company. These businesses were located on the east side of the 100 block of South Minnesota Avenue.

A typical logging camp scene from 1889 is depicted, with several men identified in writing on the photograph itself as John VaHaNiemi, Sackri Tan, and Eli Albertson, who was labeled as "The Boss" in the photo. One of the largest logging operations in the area, it was known as the Albertson Camp and was located on the west side of Church Avenue near its junction with the North Cloquet Road.
This photograph of the A.M. Miller sawmill and crew in front of the mill building shows water barrels on the roof. The barrels were used to attempt to put out fires. Some crew members are sitting on a lumber pile located there. Andreas M. Miller's sawmill was located approximately one mile north of the Village of Thomson on the Midway River.
Amo Township stores started in 1896 with a creamery, a blackshop, a store attached to a home which was shipped out from the cities and hauled out from Windom, and a post office.
This handwritten order on the letterhead of Amundson and Lee, dealers in General Merchandise and Hardware, of Newfolden, Minnesota is dated June 13, 1916. It requests the shipment of a dozen Goodie's Barbwire Liniment by express from the P. M. Mark Medicine Company.
Police officer John Trachemowicz stands in front of the James O. Anderson Drug Store wearing his badge on a fur coat. In 1934 James O. Anderson's store was at 5709 Grand Avenue, prior location was 5719 Grand Avenue.

This photograph depicts the A.M. (Andreas M.) Miller sawmill and a large crew on the mill grounds, with railroad tracks in the foreground. A.M. Miller's mill was located approximately one mile north of the Village of Thomson on the Midway River.
The stockyard industry was a million dollar operation at the turn of the century. The stockyards, completed in September, 1889, could accommodate 5000 cattle, 10,000 hogs, 20,000 sheep, and 500 horses on its 30 acres. Cattle pens are shown.
A photograph of a load of logs. Containing a total of 31,400 feet. 21 feet high with an estimated weight of sled chains, and logs is 5 tons. Being pulled by four horses.
Report has the report of the treasurer with all of the company's financial information. Also included is power generation statistics for the various geographical divisions managed by NSP. The Minneapolis Division was supplied by 4 hydroelectric power plants at St. Croix Falls, Coon Rapids, St. Anthony Falls and Wisota. They were supplemented by the Riverside steam station.

The report contains a statement to the stockholders of Northern States Power Company focusing on the divisions of Sioux Falls, Grand Forks, Fargo, Minot, Galena, Stillwater, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Mankato Faribault serving Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. The report includes consolidated earnings statement, balance sheets, and lists the names of the officers and directors. A summary of electrical power plant equipment with a map of the territory served by Northern States Power and narrative descriptions of the physical properties is also included.

At the intersection of Lake Avenue and Superior Street this fire equipment collided with a streetcar. One fireman, Archie Finlayson, was killed, and the streetcar driver was charged with failure to give right of way. The two-story building in the background is the Freimuth's store under construction.

This cartoon, published on July 16, 1912, shows a man standing outside a grocery store, looking at displays of rain gear. The store's proprietor stands in the doorway.

Advertisement for the International Champion Sewing Machine. The advertisement attested to the versatility and quality of the machine. It came with a 60 day free trial offer. An illustration shows all the features of the sewing machine. International Stock Food Company was owned by Marion Savage, a Minnesota-based entrepreneur for whom the town of Savage, Minnesota, was named. Savage bought record-breaking harness race horse Dan Patch to help promote his business.

Samuel Medary, the third Territorial Governor of Minnesota, signed this document appointing A.P. Buell as a Notary Public in the Territory of Minnesota on the 21st of August in 1857. The document states that Buell was a resident of Le Sueur County at the time.

Arne Knutson, General Merchant, Pine Creek, Minnesota wrote this letter on October 29, 1917 to Mark's Drug Store noting that he had not received half of his order of herb tea.
The proud employees of the Arrowhead Co-Op Creamery Association pose in front of a fleet of six or seven Arrowhead trucks. The man in the truck is John Antilla; on the hood of the truck is Walter Stenman. From left to right, in the upper row, are Frank Rooney, Ben Mallinen, Hjalmer Mattinen, Anton Oak, Elmer Oak, Orrie Stenroos, Clarence Stenman, and Arvid Peterson. The men in the lower part of the photo are Erick Mattson, Bill Mattson, Benharte Pentilla, ? Juntelinen, Hugo Sarkela, and Carl Hultberg.
The photograph shows the Arrowhead Co-Op Creamery Building with 14 Arrowhead Creamery trucks, plus the staff, in downtown Esko. To the far left is a portion of the Lincoln School. The photograph was taken on the north side of present day Highway 61, looking south. As of 2011 the site is occupied by the Esko Post Office building and its parking lot, as well as a part of the museum site. The figures in white appear to be male employees of the Creamery, except for the one on the farthest to the right with the shorter white skirt, who appears to be a woman, perhaps a secretary or a office worker.
