Ernest Levine lived on a farm west of St. Peter. His interest in farming was such that it was confidently prophesied that he would become a farmer. Here he is acting the part. He became, instead, a superintendent of schools.

Students, faculty, and staff from Gustavus Adolphus College boarded a specially marked Northwestern Line train for the ride to Northfield to attend the contest, where Gustavus student Harry Hedberg took 4th place. A group photo includes friends and family celebrating Mr. And Mrs. A.J. Bohleen's silver wedding anniversary in Storden, Minnesota, 1908. Eva Turner and A. J. Bohleen were married in Moorhead August 9, 1883.
This is an original picture, taken by Wilize (?) at the time, showing the ruins of Gladstone Hall, Red Wing, after the building had collapsed under the heft of 3 or 4 feet of heavy snow. The picture was gotten from W. S. Scott, Red Wing, Minn., in June, 1933. Note that Bush Street is covered and completely blockaded by stone and snow. (B. Eide)
Reverend Lundgren was a pastor in the Minnesota Conference, Augustana Synod, who was called to serve Fridhem, Red River, and Saron Lutheran church buildings in the Red River Valley district until 1923, when he retired. During his 31 years of service, he traveled 21,000 miles by horse and carriage, 6,070 miles by train, and 41,000 miles by automobile.
