Crossing the bridge from Moorhead to Fargo is the Fargo and Moorhead Electric Street Railway's streetcar number 3, which connected 1st Avenue North in Moorhead with Northern Pacific Ave in Fargo, North Dakota. Also visible in the foreground below the bridge are pilings designed to protect the bridge footing from ice breaking up in the spring.
