The bulletin of Plymouth Congregational Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota, includes the program for the dedication of the World War I Memorial and the names of Plymouth members who served in the war. The memorial was designed and built by the company of Hewitt and Brown. It was destroyed by an automobile in 1960.
The original St. James Lutheran Church (1944-1963) became the American Legion Club after the church relocated to Burnsville, Minnesota in 1963. It was located on what is now 124th Street, Savage Minnesota.
Local artist and resident Edgar F. Olson painted the Apostolic Lutheran Church and its cemetery in 1943, using oils. On the back of the painting was the following etching: "My apprecication to you, Rev. Michaelson, for making my mother's last moments happier. Edgar F. Olson, 1937. Old Finnish Cemetery and New Church, Carlton Co., Minn."
The little insert is the first Thomson Township Apostolic Lutheran Congregation's old Church, and the larger photo is the new Thomson Township Apostolic Lutheran Congregation's church building, in 1936. It was dedicated to its holy purpose on Sunday, November 22, 1936, as the Finnish caption says.

White Bear Lake Church, 1867-1933. The name changed to Barsness Lutheran Church reflecting its location in Barsness Township in 1933 and remains an active congregation in 2010. This image shows the exterior of the church built in 1883, north and west facades as viewed from across the cemetery. A new basement was built under the structure in 1930 and was fully remodeled and redecorated in 1937.

The Bernadotte Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bernadotte, Minnesota, was known as the New Sweden Church until 1890. This photo shows an interior view of the congregation's first church, on which construction began in 1872.
View is to the southwest from 2nd Avenue and 6th Street South. The recently completed Bethesda Swedish Lutheran Church sits on the corner across the intersection. Houses adjacent on 6th Street and 2nd Avenue South are visible as is the First Presbyterian Church at extreme right.

Several people are gathered on the front steps of Calvary celebrating 50 years as a congregation. The church was on the corner of Park and Hobart streets. It burned down in 1988.

The foundation for the Methodist Episcopal Church was built in 1906 and the building dedicated September 3, 1908. Written on the back: "Mrs. Hans Jue, South Haven, Minn. Dear ma, I will tell you we got the pagages (sp) you sent. Tanking (sp) you folks manie (sp) times. They were just find (sp) only little long. and Irene was proud of what she got and said tank (sp) grandma. Ill write more next time, Cary and all. xxxxxxxx, answer soon."

The Catholic Church was located on the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue South and Fourth Street South. It was torn down and a new one was built on the south end of Seventh Avenue South.

Drypoint etching of a Mexican church building signed "Cadwallader Lincoln Washburn." Washburn was a renowned deaf artist who was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated from the Minnesota Institute for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind and the National Deaf-Mute College (soon to be renamed Gallaudet College). He donated this art work to the Charles Thompson Memorial Hall, a deaf club in St. Paul, Minnesota, in honor of its opening in 1916.
