Charles Forbes was Professor Natural Sciences at Macalester College from 1885-1892. The photograph is of the interior of his house on Summit Avenue in St. Paul. He is seated in the chair by the fireplace. Two of his children are also in the photograph. The oil painting over the fireplace is of the schooner yacht "America", painted by Dr. Forbes.

Bethel Academy's entry gates and front door on the Snelling Avenue campus in winter. Entry gates have engraved plaque that reads ""class of 1925"". The building was originally built in 1916 and served as administrative offices, classrooms, dining hall, gymnasium, chapel, book store and library until more buildings were added to campus beginning in 1945.

This photograph shows Old Main (with the bell tower), the Auditorium, and Uhler Hall on the grounds of the Gustavus Adolphus College campus in St. Peter. The upper portion of the old St. Peter water tower is also visible behind Uhler Hall.
The cornerstone from the Bethel Theological Seminary building reads "1914" and marks the date of the first building erected on the Snelling Avenue campus.

President G. Arvid Hagstrom and another man lead the cornerstone laying ceremony for the Bodien women's dormitory on a rainy day in 1941. They and the crowd are singing from hymnals and holding umbrellas.
