A broken fence in a field with trees and water in the background. This image is by Arthur Adams, Minneapolis high school teacher, local historian, and photographer. Adams traveled throughout Minnesota, taking photographs to augment his lectures. His studio was located at 3648 Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis.

Mayo, who worked for Barnett and Record Co., a construction company that built grain elevators; Pillsbury A mill built in 1910 is constructed of tile, steel; and reinforced concrete according to the "Grain Elevator Inventory, 1997" prepared for the Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission; photo shows detail on the construction of the elevator.
