Exterior of the Sumner branch of Minneapolis Public Library, located at 611 Van White Memorial Boulevard, which opened in 1915. Photo was taken during the move. The Carnegie-funded building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Founded in 1885, the Minneapolis Public Library grew to include a Central Library and fourteen branches. In 2008 the library was merged into the Hennepin County Library system.
