Students in the chemistry lab in Moss Hall. Moss hall, on the Macalester College campus near Snelling Avenue, was a fire-proof structure built to house the chemistry lab, as well as library.

The Freshman girls are not all there and also some of the boys went away and did not know we were going to have a picture taken. The day was quite dark, and pretty cold to [sic], because a lot of them have got overcoats on."
