A photograph showing a the construction of the Paulson Brothers General Mercantile. Jesse and Pete had the building constructed on the northwest corner of Maple Stree and First Avenue. The building is nearing the end of construction with workers standing in front of the building. Photographer Ole Sparstad lived and worked in Sacred Heart during the years 1882-1916.
Photograph of Halvor Aase pushing a wheelbarrow across a dirt road. The inscription on the box reads: " A. Q. Paulson, Sacred Heart Minn." In the photograph's background is a grain elevator and the two-story brick schoolhouse which stood on Second Avenue, near the corner of Maple Street. This schoolhouse was discontinued in 1901and was sold and converted into apartments. In 1905 the building was sold again and razed.
A cabinet photograph of two young men wearing fur coats. O. S. Myhre worked as a photographer in Sacred Heart from 1880-1882, before moving to Laverne, Minnesota.
A threshing team stands in front of steam driven farm equipment and horses. E. I. Olsen worked as a photographer in Ericson Township, Sacred Heart crica 1890 until 1920.
