Empress Theater, M. Bolin Millinery, St. Paul Cafe restaurant at 12 and 14 East Superior Street, the lower side, in downtown Duluth. The millinery shop is in the Brown Brothers Block. The Empress burned on May 3, 1915.

View of the Engesser Brewery's horse-drawn parade float for the Fourth of July celebration in St. Peter in 1899. Several men, Ben Engesser among them, are shown on the float, drinking beer. Bottles of beer line the edges of the float.
Exterior view of the Engesser Brewery in St. Peter, buildings were located on the west side of South Front Street, between Pine and Jefferson Streets. Pine Street runs along the side of the building at the far right.
The Henry Raeder designed, five-story, Palladio office building was built at 401 West Superior Street in 1889. Raeder's firm was Raeder, Coffin and Crocker. The top floors were removed in 1937 reducing it to two stories. The top was rebuilt to three stories in 1938 for WEBC. The building still stands.

Oscar Erickson and Lloyd Johnson stand with furniture, lamps, refrigerators and pictures. Lloyd Johnson was also hired as the mortician in the same building. Today this building is home to The Local, a restaurant.
The Esko Co-Op Store, depicted in this photograph, was located at the intersection of Highway 61 and the Canosia Road. Note the cars parked around the store, from 1948 to 1955 models. The two men are not identified.
This grocery store at First Avenue West and Fourth Street, 32 West Fourth Street, is an addition to the front of the building that was once an elementary school.

Etheldoris Grais grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota and attended Hibbing High School. She married Arnold Grais, a pharmacist, and together they ran several Iron Range drug stores.
