The photograph is taken from present day 4th corners of Washington and 4th Streets. Window frames are now installed being installed on the third floors of the library. The roof will soon enclose the library. The power lift is still needed for the finishing work.

The power lift is still needed to move materials to the various floors of the library. Construction workers can be seen on the roof. Below the power lift can be seen three round arches. These arches make up the loading and delivery dock for the library.

This branch of the Minneapolis Public Library opened in the Citizen's Aid Building in 1927 to provide resources to the workers in that building, which were mainly related to social work, child welfare, public health and crime prevention.

Ridgedale Library opened in 1982 and serves the City of Minnetonka and surrounding communities. It is also home to Hennepin County Library system headquarters. The library underwent a major renovation in 1997-99, reopening in its current location on Ridgedale Drive. This image is of the library before the renovation.

The first branch of the Minneapolis Public Library to serve the northeast Minneapolis community was established in 1913 in the Sheridan High School building, shown here at Broadway and University Avenue Northeast. Branch services later moved to the Logan Park fieldhouse, and eventually became the Pierre Bottineau branch.

Patrons fill the Reading Room of the Seven Corners Branch of Minneapolis Public Library, built in 1912 at 300 Fifteenth Avenue South and in use until 1967. The Seven Corners (Cedar-Riverside) area was teeming with new immigrants and the library was quite busy.
