World War I veterans participate in the dedication of the World War I Memorial on the LaSalle Avenue side of Plymouth Congregational Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The sculpture memorializes the four Plymouth members who died in service. The Memorial was designed and built by the Hewitt and Brown architectural firm. This photograph shows people waiting at the railroad depot near St. Peter, Minnesota, for the train that will take area men away to serve in World War One. This depot served St. Peter, but was located in Le Sueur County, on the east side of the Minnesota River.
Women's organization, the Woodstock Guards of Loyalty, posing in uniform on the steps of the Pipestone County Courthouse. The purpose of the group was to band the ladies together to assist in carrying on the work of the men who were called to the colors, to help the United States in the prosecution of the war and, if need be, to go on the battle line to fight for democracy.
These students served as cadets during World War I. They are shown in their uniforms beside the High School that was constructed in 1907 in St. Peter, Minnesota.
