A man is standing on the back of the steam engine watching and operating the controls to make sure the steam pressure will be high enough to operate the threshing machine, but not so high as to blow up the boiler.
A steam powered tractor made by the Geiser Manufacturing Company in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania sits outside of an industrial building. On the back of the photograph is inscribed, "J. I. Case Co. - Edmund Probstfield agent." The J. I. Case Company was a threshing machine company.
Emil Sota is the driver of the steam powered tractor, Albert Olson is his engineer, and also present in the photo are Henry Juntunen from Cloquet, Jalmer Juntunen, Ed Juntunen of Meadowbrook Dairy, Joseph Juntunen, and Selma (Juntunen) Dickinson who probably worked in the office there.

Built in 1880 the Savage Minnesota Railroad Depot closed in 1970. During 1973 the Depot, without the outhouse, was purchased and moved to Murphy's Landing in Shakopee Minnesota. In 2005 the City of Savage, Minnesota repurchased the building and returned it to Savage's Town Square, across the road from its original location. Del Stelling worked as a newspaper reporter and photographer, covering Savage, Burnsville, Eagan and other areas of Dakota County, Minnesota from 1959 - 1984.

Portrait of Kermit A. Olson. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a major in horticultural science. Following graduation, he became superintendent of the Soil Conservation Service Nursery at Winona. After four years of military service during World War II�in the South Pacific with the 303rd Air Force�he served as the landscape consultant for the Veteran�s Administration, and the manager of the Grandview Seed Store in Edina, the Farm Store in Excelsior, and the Danish Seed Store in Minneapolis. At the time of his death, he was head horticulturist at the Veteran�s Administration Hospital in Minneapolis.
